Need To Become An Undertaker

Harlequin Grim is not your average author. He looked to become an undertaker to get closer to his writing and storytelling.

Living with bipolar 2 and the constant curse of depression or the highs of mania he decided to get closer to his demons.

So much so, once old enough he knocked on the door of a mortuary to become an undertaker.

Using his experience, and dealing with the dead, he draws inspiration to write and talk about the death on his show, The Mania Podcast.

Articulate and well read, his verse and narration delves into death in the 17 to 1800s, delivering a true crime experience to his audience, like no other.

Quin is not the quintessential author or podcast host when you first look at him, but talk with him and you soon realise his work smacks of both quality and class.

His pen name, Harlequin Grim is at the core of the internal battle that shaped his adolescence.

Drawing from his experience helping lay our loved ones to rest, he is able to weave true narratives around death and dying that few authors before him can do.

He is able to avoid the usual tropes and fleshes out his stories with uncanny reality.

Host of The Mania Podcast, Harlequin Grim researches and writes all the stories himself, and then brings the characters to life and looks through the eyes of some of the world’s most taunted souls – criminals, psychopaths, maniacs and murderers.
